Ruth L. Fisher

Ruth L. Fisher, 92, of South Zanesville, went to be with her Lord, Monday, October 13, 2008 at her residence with her loving family around her. She was born January 16, 1916, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Jess O. and Hazel Albright Wilson. Ruth was a person who loved life, her family, flowers and animals and Pink was her favorite color. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. Fair Oaks Baptist Church was her church family where she was involved in the ladies group. She worked for years for Roseville Pottery and Kay Dry Cleaners and later in life, she worked and retired from Essex Wire. She is survived by a son, Gregory (Elsie) Fisher of South Zanesville; grandchildren, Scott (Marlana Wynkoop) Fisher and Angel Amy Fisher; great grandchildren, Scott Brandon Fisher, Darla, Jacelyn, Breanna and Jade Fisher and her buddy, Jo-Jo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ed Fisher. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Denny Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
