Ruth Eloise Fox Micka, 88, of Gahanna, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2006 at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born July 11, 1918, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Lemon Fox. She graduated from Lash High School in 1936, had worked for Ohio Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator and then retired from Lazarus Department Store and was a Baptist by faith. Surviving are a sister, Winifred Morosco of Zanesville; a brother, William (Thelma) Fox of Zanesville; five nieces, Patti Morosco of Zanesville, Pamela Toothman of Granville, Ruth Ann Hopkins, Betty Kathryn Forgey and Donna Irene Smith, all of Newark; six nephews, Larry Morosco of Fultonham, Thomas Morosco of Whitehall, Jeffry Morosco of Zanesville, William Fox of Baltimore, Ohio, Frank Fox and Selwyn Micka of Oshkosh, WI. and sister-in-law, Marian Micka of Oshkosh, WI. and many great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon C. Micka, who died June 26, 2000; a son, Kenneth Micka; a brother, Donald Fox and a sister-in-law, Delores Fox. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Roy Keyser officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
