Ruth Christina Ross, age 89, of Newark, Ohio, former Zanesville resident, died at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the Newark Health Care Center. She was born February 18, 1915 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Eugene C. and Lula M. Bieber Greiner. Mrs. Ross was a Para Legal retiring in 1981. She became employed by the Law Firm of Zinn & Tate in the early 1930's. She then became secretary for Attorney Donald Cultice when the Law Firm became Zinn, Tate and Cultice. Mrs. Ross received her Para Legal degree at Capital University when she was 60 years old. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher,and pianist for many years, and a member of the Ladies Aid Society. Surviving are her son, Charles Eugene (Margaret) Ross of Zanesville, her daughter Betsy (Ron) Thomas, of Zanesville, one sister, Helen (Clarence) Porter of Zanesville, and one brother Wayne (Rita) Greiner of Zanesville, five grandchildren, Chris (Kevin) Brooks, Sheila (Kem) Wilson, Marsha (Ron) Parks, Jason (Jennifer) Thomas, and Joshua (Jessica) Thomas, and ten great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward Ross, who died March 13, 1964, by two sisters, Louise Greiner and Dorothy Jenkins, by one brother Eugene C. Greiner Jr. And one granddaughter, Cheryl Ross. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. uneral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2004 with Rev, Keith Lingsch officiating, Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastside Community Ministry.
