Ruth E. Sarbaugh

Ruth E. Sarbaugh, 88, of Zanesville, died at 9:35 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2008 at Autumn Healthcare Center, Zanesville. She was born March 12, 1920, in Woodsfield, a daughter of the late Alva and Mary Brubaker Bishop. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church and was a member of the Women's Society at the church. Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Roy H. Sarbaugh, whom she married October 11, 1941, of the home; four daughters, Carol Ann (Larry Joe) Hoff of Johnstown, Kathleen J. (William) Brooks of Zanesville, Nancy L. (David) Green of Hendersonville, NC. and Mary Ellen Murdock (Tim Rhodes) of Brook Park, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Russell Joe (Julie) Hoff, Douglas Roy (Kathy) Hoff, Matthew J. (Kristi Hoovler) Brooks, Amy Jo Brooks, Malinda (Kevin) Weekley, Jenny (Chris) Demko, Ian Hrinko, William Stewart and Evalee Stewart; 10 great grandchildren and four sisters, Anna Powell and Mary Moorehead, both of Zanesville, Betty Slaven of Merritt Island, FL. and Donna (Jerry) Frazier of Nashport. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ralph and Alva Bishop. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Law officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rolling Plains United Methodist Church Women's Society, 3350 Moxahala Park Road, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701 in memory of Ruth. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
