Ruth M. Foster Snider, 80,of Gratiot, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born January 27, 1925 at Little Hocking, Ohio a daughter of the late Milo Foster and Maude Cody Foster Moore. She was a secretary for Snider Brothers Drilling Oil and Gas, member of Gratiot United Methodist Church, Gratiot Garden Club, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Brownsville Chapter 486, past member of the Zane and Janes Square Dance, secretary for Thursday Bowling League for 18 years.Ruth more than anything enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Clyde L. Snider, of the home, whom she married March 25, 1942, a son, Charles L. (Brenda) Snider of Mt. Perry, two daughters, Susan (Roger) Short of Hopewell and Geraldine (David) Zylinsky of Zanesville, six grandchildren, David (Kelly) Snider, Theresa Snider, Gregory (Amy) Short, Lisa (Jeff) Wilson, Monica (Rob) Davis and Dustin Zylinsky, ten great grandchildren, Abby and Aliesha Snider, Megan and Jonathan Short, Jordan, Alayna, Ian and Evan Wilson, Ethan and Nathan Davis, three brothers, Clarence Foster, Warner Robbins, Georgia, Melvin Foster of Elyria and Eugene Foster of Zanesville, three brothers-in-laws, Harold Steele of Gratiot, Russell (Janet) Snider of Heath and Wilbur Wiley of Wylie, TX, a sister-in-law, Gladys Jones of Newark. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Foster, Yvonne Foster, Dorothy Metz and Marlene Wiley and a brother, George Foster. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005with Rev. Martha Gross and Rev. Charles Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot Brownsville Eastern Star 486 will hold services Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
