Ryan P. Longstreth

July 11, 1975 — November 16, 2013

Ryan P. Longstreth, 38, of Newark, died at 6:11 P.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, after an accident. He was born July 11, 1975, a son of Patricia MacDonald Longstreth Heinzman of Zanesville and the late John W. Longstreth. He graduated from West Muskingum High School in 1993 and later earned an Associate Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, worked as Brand Manager for CYCRA Racing for 18 years, and was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. Ryan enjoyed listening to his daughter playing her guitar and was so proud of Morgan and of her achievements at Ohio State Medical Center. He was also proud of wife Harmony's accomplishments at OSU and credited his success to the faithful devotion and continual support of his wife and daughter. They were blessed to travel extensively as a family, in conjunction with his work, and were affectionately referred to as "3 of a kind". He enjoyed motor sports, was a great supporter of West Muskingum athletics, and especially loved cheering on his niece and nephew Kinley and Drake Dodson. Surviving are his loving wife of 20 years, Harmony J. McManus Longstreth, whom he married July 17, 1994, of the home; a daughter Morgan E. Longstreth of the home; his mother Patricia (Robert "Dink") Heinzman; a sister Cara (Judd) Dodson of Zanesville; a step-sister Dr. Erica (Lee) Fitzgerald; a step-brother Todd (Jamie) Heinzman; father-in-law Mark (Rhonda Hullett) McManus; mother-in-law Julie Livingston; grandparents Gene and Betty MacDonald, William E. Heinzman, and Phyllis and William Gallagher; brothers-in-law Beau Livingston and C.J. Daum; and numerous loving aunts and uncles. Friends and family may call from 1:00-3:00 & 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. The family will hold private funeral services at a later date, with Pastor Mitch Reed officiating, and he will be laid to rest at Mattingly Settlement, Nashport. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Light the Hill-Ryan Longstreth Memorial: Muskingum County Community Foundation, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. If you knew Ryan, you knew what a wonderful man he was. If you didn't know him, you really missed out.
