Sally Riggle Hittle, 66, of Zanesville, died at 6:40 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2013 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born August 16, 1947 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late John and Ruth Chellis Gray. She lived in Cambridge until she was sixteen and then moved to Caldwell, when her dad was transferred there to work for The Ohio Power Company. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1965. In 1965 she moved to Zanesville and attended Ohio University-Zanesville. Sally then married and had two sons. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church. She belonged to Pre-School Mothers Club, volunteered at Westview Grade School, helped run the North Bears Biddy League Football Team, member of the Zanesville High School Football Mothers Club, volunteered at Bethesda Hospital Guild and was a buyer for the gift shop. She worked for 16 years at Hilltop Florist as a Floral Designer, was a tour guide for Longaberger Basket Company and floral manager at Big Bear in Coshocton. In 1986 she married Gary Hittle, who was the love of her life. They loved antiques, auctions, traveling, Myrtle Beach and boating. She was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns football fan. Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons, Kevin (Tasha) Riggle of Zanesville and Kelly (Melanie) Riggle of Wesley Chapel, Florida; three stepsons, Kevin (Lori) Hittle of Zanesville, Matthew (Abby) Hittle of Zanesville and Michael (Tiffany) Hittle of Gratiot; eleven grandchildren, Madison, Wyatt and Clayton Riggle, Brandon, Taylor, Jacob, Jared and Kiley Hittle, Brandon & Levi Nguyen and Cody Swingle; sister, Cathie (Pat) McMillen of Malta; brother, Jody Gray of Lowell, two sisters-in-law, Melody Gray of Macksburg and Sherry (Tim) Wilkins of Zanesville; brother-in-law, Stanley (Sandy) Hittle of Zanesville; dear friends, Jeff and Faye McNeish of Zanesville. Love and prayers to all those people she has met over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Lee and Ila Hittle. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 with Pastor Chris Riggs officiating. She will be laid to rest at Washington Twp. Baptist Church Cemetery, Zanesville at a later date.
