Samuel D. Moore, 68, of Zanesville, died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at his home. He was born May 8, 1939 in Zanesville a son of the late Virgil and Rosina Rocca Moore. He was a member of Tree of Life Christian Fellowship Church. Sam worked as a Guidance system repairman at Newark Air Force Base and retired in 1997. He worked for Boeing Corporation and retired from there in 1998. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Amy M. Jenkins Moore of the home; a step-son, Michael D. Kahler of Zanesville; a sister, Vivian Nader of Zanesville; two brothers, Earl D. (Betty) Moore of Camp Verde, Arizona and Donald W. (Charlotte) Moore of Glenville, NC.; a sister-in-law, Patricia Moore of Zanesville and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Gildow and two brothers, David Moore and Bobbie Moore. No calling hours will be observed. A celebration of Sam's life will be held at Tree of Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2220 Chandlersville Road, Zanesville with Pastor Thomas N. Hayes officiating at a later date.
