Sarah E. Slack

SARAH E.( SALLY) SLACK, age 87, of Zanesville Ohio, died at 7:20 am Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Inn at North Hills. She was born February 11, 1917 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Bernard V. And Mabel Blair Slack. Miss Slack graduated from Lash High School in 1935 and Muskingum College in 1939. She also took extra classes at the Ohio State University. Miss Slack was a retired school teacher, having taught at McKinley, McIntire, and Lincoln elementary schools and also taught special reading education for the Zanesville City Schools including St. Thomas Elementary. She was lifelong member of the Central Presbyterian Church, the Senior Bethesda League and the Retired Teachers Association. Surviving a close friend, Rose Isch of Zanesville and many other friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother William Slack and a special companion, Attorney Joseph McNerney. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, April 5, 2004, at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. With the Rev. Raymond Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Friends may call anytime prior to services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Presbyterian Church, 40 North 6th St.,Zanesville, Ohio.
