Sarah Strauss

Sarah Strauss, 82, of Zanesville, died at 3:00 A.M. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June, 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Stella Kaslin Norman. She retired from the Ohio Liquor Store in 1995, was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Lady Auxiliary of American Legion. Sarah loved gardening, baking, traveling and playing the slots. Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years Elbert Bunk Strauss; two sons, Joe (Tina) and Jay (Candace) Strauss; three grandchildren, Cameron, Madison and Hunter Strauss; four brothers Ron, Ray, Francis and Tim Norman and her furry companion, Bentley. In addition to family, her lifelong friends, Joe and Ruby Leffler and their family, Mary Davis, and many, many other close friends here and afar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Strauss; four brothers, Charles Norman, Richard Norman, Bill Norman and Herman Norman; and a sister, Shirley Norman. Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 with Pastor Andrew Wilson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville beside her daughter, Robin.
