Sharon G. Baughman

Sharon Baughman, 70, of Zanesville, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born March 12, 1938, in Dayton, a daughter of the late Charles R. and Evelyn May Stupp Bowman. She was a daycare teacher at Kinder Care, was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and was a past chairperson for the Mildred Butler Circle. Surviving are her husband of 15 years, Dean A. Baughman of the home, whom she married August 21, 1993; a daughter, Kimberly (Harvey) Nelson of Akron; five sons, Scott (Cindy) Boyer of Dresden, Steve (Sue) Boyer of Westerville, Todd (Teresa) Boyer of Vandalia, Jay Boyer of Columbus and Nicholas Boyer of Zanesville; 5 stepdaughters, Nancy (Dale) Phillis and Janet (Larry) Lynn, both of Zanesville, Deborah (Tim) McCraw of Roanoke, Virginia, Linda (Mike) Mitchell of Nashport and Patricia (Kelvin) Kreager of Zanesville; a stepson, Warren (Debra) Baughman of Zanesville; a sister, Sheila Sawyer of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom L. Miller, who died December 1992 and her stepfather, Carl B. Rexrode, who died October 2004. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon, Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Coburn United Methodist Church, 3618 Maple Avenue, Zanesville with Dr. Dennis J. Baker and Rev. Doris Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
