Sharry L. Pickrell

Sharry L. Pickrell, 77, of Dresden,went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1:10 A.M. Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born November 12, 1941 in Newark, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Martin Jones. Sharry had been a teacher's aid for over thirty years and was currently working for Zanesville City Schools. She was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. Sharry's greatest joy were children, not only hers but all the children she came in contact with. Children were truly a labor of love for her. Surviving are two sons, Douglas (Star) Pickrell and Jeffery (Andrea) Pickrell; five grandchildren, Austin (Jami) Pickrell, Jared (Jessica) Pickrell, Meredith Pickrell, Paxton (Alexis Baker) Pickrell and Colton (Linsey) Pickrell; two great grandchildren, Jason and Andrew Pickrell; two sisters, Patricia Martin and Julie Lewis; a brother, Larry (Debbie) Jones and two sister-in-laws, Betty (Thurman) Drake and Marge Holtsberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James "Jim" Pickrell and a step-brother, Gary. Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2018 at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd, Zanesville. Friends may also call one hour prior to the Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the church with Mr. William L. Meaige officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Jim, at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville.
