Shawn R. Kerby

Shawn R. Kerby, 59, of Zanesville, died at 8:07 P.M. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at his home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born February 8, 1954, in Zanesville, a son of the late Donald B. and Marilyn Mahaney Kerby, was a 1971 graduate of Maysville High School, and had worked as a grounds keeper for the Zanesville Country Club. Surviving are his loving wife Eleanor Joseph Kerby whom he married July 1, 2001; a daughter Trina Wood; a son Shawn M. Kerby; grandchildren Tyler, Kaiden, Shaunice, and Keyan; a brother Everett C. (Kristi) Kerby; two sisters, Susan (Terry) Wagner and Rosemary Kerby; brothers-in-law Louie Joseph, Collen May, and Kevin Turner; sisters-in-law Peg (Jack) Kinder and Vickie (Eric) Paul; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. No calling hours will be observed and a dignified cremation will take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
