Sheyallen M. Herd

Sheyallen M. Herd, 22, of Zanesville, died at 3:36 A.M. Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room. He was born January 28, 1994 in Zanesville, son of William R. and Mallisa Curtis Herd. He was a 2012 graduate from West Muskingum High School, he had a love for football and basketball, working out, and golf. Shey was self-taught on the piano and worked in the produce department at Krogers. He was an organ donor and gave the gift of life. In addition to his parents, of the home, he is survived by a sister, Amisha Herd of Zanesville; two brothers, William Newman of Cincinnati and Dominque Shackleford of Newark; grandparents, Henry Herd III of Coshocton, Abigail (Donald) Duerson of Coshocton, Brenda Yelder of Columbus, and Crystal (Raymond) Wallace of Cleveland; great-grandmother, Georgia Curtis of Zanesville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Fields; great-grandparents, Bernard and Mary Miller, and Henry and Ann Herd III; great-great grandmother, Martha Herd; and great-great grandmother Lenny King. Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Boulevard, Zanesville, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 30, 2016, with Mr. William L. Meaige officiating. He will be laid to rest at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
