Shirley J. Ames, 61, of Frazeysburg, died at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at her home. She was born November 13, 1952, in Port Allegheny, PA, a daughter of the late Alfred and Artie Bells Cochran. She had worked as a cook and bartender at Eagles Lodge #302, as a bartender for VFW Post #1058, and at the Southtown Café. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #302. Surviving are two sons, Michael L. (Cathy) Barnett of Frazeysburg, and Jerry N. (Shannon) Barnett of Buckeye Lake; four grandchildren, Sebastian, Katie, John and Julie; a brother Butch (Debbie) Cochran of Eldred, PA; three sisters, Cheryl (Clyde) Rogers of Smithport, PA, Gloria (Robert) Galentine of Turtle Point, PA, and Susan (Joe) Nichols of Bedford, PA; and her best friend Kay Quinlan of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Margie Nye; a brother Bernie Cochran; and the love of her life Charlie Klinehoffer. No calling hours will be observed and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
