Shirley R. Wakeley

Shirley Ruth Wakeley, 63, of Zanesville, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital due to complications from surgery. She was born June 16, 1943, in Zanesville. She worked for United Technologies for 16 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Wakeley Sr; mother, Ruth E. Wickham; brother, Ralph (Bill) Robbins; brother, David Robbins and grandson James R. Wakeley III. She is survived by 4 children, James R. Wakeley Jr., Tammey R Wakeley and companion Charles D. Creech, Kimberley R. Wakeley and Skippey R.(Sandy) Wakeley. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Tori Wakeley, Jason Wakeley, Justin Wakeley, Justine Donohoe, Richard Donohoe, Alisha Wakeley, Amanda Richards, Dalton Wakeley and Taylor Wakeley. She is also survived by three brothers, Donald (Joyce) Robbins, Ronald (June) Robbins and Gary Robbins. She is also survived by her step-father, Donald T. Wickham. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. till service time at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Burial will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery. She was a very loving, kind and generous person who loved to touch people's hearts by cooking and bringing her family together. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
