Shirley L. (Smith) Williamson

Shirley L. (Smith) Williamson, 77, of Zanesville, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born September 7, 1934, in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lester W. and Sarah E. (Hall) Smith. She was the previous co-owner and agent of Williamson Insurance Service, formerly Williamson-Baughman. She was a member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, Senior Bethesda League, Riverside Grange and the Twin Cities Garden Club of Duncan Falls/Philo. She was the past president of the Duncan Falls/Philo PTA, Duncan Falls/Philo Lions Club and the Zanesville Women's Insurance Association. Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey A. (Connie) Williamson of Zanesville, Randall K. (Cindy) Williamson of Rapid City, SD and Stephen R. (Sally) Williamson of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Bethel, Mandi (Joe) Hunt, Jason (Abbey) Williamson, Matthew Williamson, Becky Williamson and Justin (Jessica) Williamson; three great grandchildren, Clara, Kellen and Hensley; a sister, Louise S. (Sandy) Freeland of Jacksonville, FL; a sister-in-law, Aileen Dunn of Zanesville; and former daughter-in-law, Beverly Williamson of Trussville, AL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell R. Williamson, who died May 25, 2001; a brother, Lester C. Smith; and a special aunt, Elsie Hall. Friends and family may call from 2-5 Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Darrell, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
