Sopha L. Rollins

Sopha Lillian Taylor Rollins, 91, of Zanesville, died at 10:45 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2006 at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born October 7, 1914 in Perry Twp., Muskingum Co. A daughter of the late Frederick and Ollie Murray Taylor. She retired as a cook for Tom's Ice Cream Bowl. Sopha was a Lifetime member of Salt Creek Baptist Church, was an avid gardener, who enjoyed flowers and writing poems. Surviving are a son: Norval T. ( Kay) Rollins of Zanesville, a daughter; Frances L. ( Delbert) Brock of Zanesville, eight grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren, a brother-in-law; John Tucker of Lancaster and a sister-in-law: Ellen Taylor of Zanesville. Besides his parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John A. Rollins, a brother, Thomas Taylor and three sisters; Freda Baughman Best, Louise Tucker and Margaret Young. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 with Rev. Maxine Baker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
