Stephen E. Myers

Stephen E. Myers, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 12:26 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. He was born April 14, 1929, in Zanesville, the son of the late Charles and Virginia Everett Myers. Until the time of his illness, he was employed by the Carskadden Optical Company since 1972. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Dobbins Myers, whom he married October 8, 1967, of the home; a daughter, Cathy (Joe) Reeder of Brownsville; a granddaughter, Angie (Craig) Fluharty of Zanesville; a great grandson, Chase Kline of Zanesville; two great granddaughters, Nikki and Cody Fluharty of Zanesville; his aunt, Vera (Hal) Everett of the Helen Purcell Home; a cousin, Jim (Jane) Everett of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three aunts, Helen Conner, Margaret Baldwin and Nelda Wickersham; and two uncles, Hal and Stephen Everett. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the funeral home with Bucky Mowrey officiating. Burial will follow in Williams cemetery with V. F. W. George Selsam Post 1058 providing military services.
