Steven M. Chapin, 57, of Zanesville, died at 6:42 P.M. on Sunday, December 20, 2015, after a brave but brief battle with cancer. He was born May 11, 1958, in Zanesville, a son of the late Rodney and Nancy Shook Chapin. He had worked for AK Steel and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Camp Chapin of the home, whom he married August 22, 1992; two brothers, Doug (Brenda) Chapin of Indiana and Tim Chapin of FL; a sister Tina (David) Slack of Mt. Perry; several nieces and nephews; and a close cousin, Jeff Brown of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Mary Brown. Friends and family may gather from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
