On Dec 30, 2020, after helping his beloved mother, Evelyn Genevieve (Adams) Lyall pass to her Heavenly home, Steven Ray Lyall, 67, unexpectedly joined her that evening due to a fatal car accident. Steve was also proceeded in death by his father, Earl Lyall, a brother William Lyall and ex-wife, Nancy Lyall. He is survived by 3 daughters, Jennifer (Billie Joe) Lyall-Hammers, Stacy (Blaine III) Holskey, and Tabatha Jackson. Also surviving is a brother, Mike (Gay) Lyall of Florida and sister, Brenda (Brent) Cannon of Zanesville, Oh. He has 4 grandchildren, Christopher Slade Suttles and Blaine IV, Hayley, and Kaitlynne Holskey. In his later years he became like a 2nd father to his ex-wife’s daughter, Abby (Corey) Ward and grandfather to her children, Aiden and Cami Ward. He adored his children and grandchildren, greatly. He is also, survived by Paul Pulsinelli whom he shared a great friendship with for the last 10 years.
Steve was born in Zanesville, Oh. He attended Maysville High School. At 16, he married Nancy and shortly after they started their family with their 2 daughters. During this time, he ran his home improvement business. Some years later he began working at Pepsi Cola. He then remarried and adopted his 3rd daughter, Tabatha.
Eventually, he moved to the Tampa/St Pete area in Florida and lived there for close to 20 years, becoming a big part of those communities making many dear friends, including a special lady, Maggie. They were great friends and had many adventures.
Finally, he returned to Ohio to be closer to family. He spent all of his time constantly tending to those he loved making sure everyone was ok and that holidays and especially birthdays were great. Friends were family to him and treated them with equal love. Steve will be missed by so many people, as he has touched many lives.
Friends and family may call from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service to be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2020 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
