Steven M. Mcconnell

Steven M. McConnell, 60, of Zanesville, died at 6:41 P.M. at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital on Sunday, January 11, 2015, after an extended illness over 5 years. He was born February 17, 1954, in Zanesville, a son of Margaret Swope McConnell of Zanesville and the late Bob L. McConnell. He had worked his entire life in the oil fields, starting with DA Waldorn Associates. Surviving in addition to his mother are a son Brian (Sarina) McConnell of Sarasota, FL; a daughter Melissa (Jeff) Daugherty of Zanesville; two grandsons, Ethan Morris and Kyle Morris; two brothers, Jim (Jayne) McConnell of Zanesville, and Scott (Kristy) McConnell of Somerset; a sister Beth Barnes of Zanesville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Friends and family may call from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2015, with Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
