Suzanne Nasser Diehl, 71, of Daytona Beach, FL, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Burbank Parke Care Center, in Burbank, Ohio. She was born September 18, 1939, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Francis Edwin and Nina Frances Grimm Barker. She retired in April 1991 from the State of Ohio Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. She was a consultant for Creative Memories. Surviving are her husband of 11 years, Wendell Lee Diehl, whom she married May 6, 2000; a daughter, Debra (Dennis) Custer of Lodi, OH; three sons, Mark (Marsha) Nasser of Zanesville, Charles (Kyle) Nasser of Arizona and Scott Nasser of Daytona Beach, FL; 12 grandchildren, Misty, Michael, Shaun, Brandy, Josiah, Caleb, Zachariah, Grace, Lydia, Isaiah, Janna and Derek; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Carole Donley of Zanesville; two step sons, David (Annalee) Diehl of Canal Fulton, OH and Dr. Thomas (Sherry) Diehl of Zanesville; a step daughter, Susan (Bob) Newman of Columbus; and 6 step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Nasser, who died July 15, 1994. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the funeral home with her grandson, Rev. Shaun Strauss officiating. Suzanne will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Bob, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
