It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Terry Richard Dunn, who departed this life on January 2, 2025, at the age of 77. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side. Terry was a beloved Father, Husband and Grandfather. Born on November 15, 1947, in Zanesville, OH, he dedicated his life to his family and touched countless lives along the way. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1965 and worked for Owens Corning Research and Development. He ended his career as the director of Muskingum County Center for Seniors. He was an active member of the Noon Rotary Club of Zanesville and Grace United Methodist Church. Terry had a passion for collecting breweriana and was a life-long member of BCCA, and those who knew him will always remember his infectious laugh and ability to make anyone feel welcome. He taught us the importance of family, to never take life too seriously, and to seize every adventure you can.
Terry is survived by his wife Laura Obenour Dunn, his children Hannah (Francisco Ilabaca) Dunn, Marlayna (Donny) Lewis, and Brayden (Claire) Dunn, his sister Bernice (Frank) Anderson, and grandchild Cameron Lewis, who will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Pete” and Leota (Hayes) Dunn.
A private family service to honor Terry’s life will be held on January 25, 2025, at Zanesville Memorial Park with a wake to follow at Weaselboy Brewery at 4PM. Friends that would like to raise a glass in Terry's memory are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
