Theda Mae Ward, 86, of Blue Rock, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2005 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1919 in Cambridge, to the late Earl and Beulah Madge (Robertson) Hayman. She was a member of the Cornerstone South Full Gospel Church, the American Legion Auxiliary (had served as VP), and the Sons of Legion Cadets of America. Theda was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. Surviving is her husband, James F. Ward, whom she married December 24, 1949, of the home. A daughter, Lorna Ferguson of Philo; a brother, Clifford Hayman of Barbosca, IL; a sister, Donna Arp of LA, CA; three granddaughters, Kay Nichols of McConnelsville, Karen Crellin and Kim Ferguson both of Philo; four great-granddaughters, Megan, Madison, Kylee, and Kaylyn; and one great, great granddaughter, Tirayla Joy. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Hayman of Zanesville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. A caring cremation will follow.
