Thelma E. Norris, 94, of Zanesville, died at 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at her daughter's home in Gahanna. She was born February 7, 1913, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Murphy Swank. She was a member of Amrou Cauldren and Ladies Oriental Shrine. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, painting and ceramics. Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn (Richard) Moore of Gahanna; five sisters, Eleanora Kronenbitter, Ruth Handshy, Carol Hague and Martha Graves, all of Zanesville and Wanda Winkle of Nashport; four grandchildren, Mike (Connie) Williams of Johnstown, Ohio, Mark (Kristi) Williams of Blacklick, Ohio, Wade Williams of Johnstown, Ohio and Jay (Julia) Williams of Blacklick, Ohio; a step grandson, Richard Moore of Johnstown, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica, Tim, Zach, Christopher, Karlee, Courtney, Haley and Ashley; two step great-grandchildren, Siera and Logan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Norris, who died April 8, 1985; a brother, Lester Swank; a sister, Mary Louise Schmidt and a son-in-law, Jack Williams. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
