Thomas Lewis Broughton

Thomas Lewis Broughton, 72, of Zanesville, died at 2:05 P.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Emergency Room. He was born March 8, 1942, in Zanesville, a son of Esther Geraldine Noel Broughton of Zanesville and the late Lloyd Raymond "Bud" Broughton. He had retired from Sidwell Bros and from the New Bakery. Thomas was a United States Marine Veteran, member of the VFW, Lodge of Amity #5 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Zavi Shrine, Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA. Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter Elizabeth (Russell) Hardcastle of Zanesville; and a grandson Andrew Thomas Hardcastle. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Lewis Broughton; and a sister Patricia Ann Broughton. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M., with Lodge of Amity #5 Masonic Services at 5:45 P.M., on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 28, 2014, with Rev. John Foster officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, with full military honors being conducted by the United States Marines in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058.
