Thomas E. Lewis, 90, of Heath, died at 1:33 P.M. Friday, November 15, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. He was born December 24, 1922 in Ocean City, Maryland, a son of the late William J. Lewis and Agnes (Edwards) Lewis. He worked till he retired at Rockwell International as a Supervisor. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy serving his country in World War II. He was an amazing golfing, even at 90 years old playing up to three times a week. Thomas is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Martha M. (Bednarczuk) Lewis, whom he married July 28, 1946, three daughters, Carol (Carl) Hanes of Pataskala, Katherine (Joseph) Perruzzi of Tiverton, RI, Cindy Chambers of Pataskala; two sons, William (Cathy) Lewis of Granville and Ernest (Tammy) Lewis of Pataskala and by nine grandchildren, Angela (Pat) McNally, Carmen (Mike) Singleton, Melynda (Jeff) Perry, Trevor (Deborah) Chambers, Stacy Correia, William (Stacy) Lewis, Megan Lewis, Thomas Lewis, Mallarie Lewis and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Alex, Zachary, Madyson, Sophia, Abby and Alexis. He is also survived by his sister Elsie (Bud) Noe of Zanesville and sister-in-law Arlene Lewis of Zanesville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Lewis. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday, November 18, 2013 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors being conducted by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
