Trudi M. (Staples) Arthur

Trudi M. Arthur, 93, Of Adamsville, died at 7:45 P.M. Sunday, June 7, 2015, at home. She was born February 27, 1922, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late William and Katherine Mitchell Staples. She was an Ohio Bell Telephone operator for 38 ½ years, had taught Weight Watchers for years, was a member of Ohio Bell Telephone Pioneers, and Maranatha Bible Church. Surviving are a son, Chris A. Arthur of Columbus; a granddaughter, Jenna Leigh Arthur of Columbus and a special niece who she made her home with for 17 years, Reta (Dale) Collins, of Adamsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Arthur, who died October 6, 1995; two brothers, Paul and William Staples and a sister, Marguerite Brown. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2015, with Pastor L. Dale McCallister and Pastor Chris Brown officiating. She will be laid to rest at Heaven's Gate, Adamsville.
