Twila D. (Slater) Hines

Twila D. Hines, 91, of Zanesville, died at a.m. 7:03 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born May 27, 1920, in Morgan County, Ohio, a daughter of the late John P. and Lola Shattuck Slater. She had worked in the Packing Department for the former Hazel Atlas Glass. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall South Congregation. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann (Joe) Graham and Ina (Earl) Ruby, both of Zanesville; two sons, Richard (Julia) Hines of Leeds, Alabama and Jack (Judy) Hines of Oxford, Alabama; ten grandchildren, Harold, Scott, Quint, Joey, Adam, Tracy, Jack, Heather, Jesse and Jeffrey; many step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Hines, who died February 2, 1982; two grandsons, Richard and Jerry Hines; an infant great grandson, Lucas Madigan; and three brothers, Dean, Denzil and John Slater. Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville.. Twila will be laid to rest next to her husband, Harold, in Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery.
