V Claire Stotts

V. Claire Stotts, age 83, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 4:48 p.m.Thursday, November 24, 2005 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1922 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late John Earl and Hazel Verna Lampton Harris. Mrs. Stotts was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church and a member of the Laura Chapter #264, OES, at Norwich Ohio. For nine years, she served in the Credit Dept at the Genesis Bethesda Hospital. Surviving are three sisters, Cleo Darby of McCamey, TX., Doris Wilson of Zanesville, and Charlene Smitley of Duncan Falls, a step-sister, Dorothy Steinmetz of Mt. Vernon, one brother, Lee (Mary) Gatton of Zanesville, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon W. Stotts, who died in 1997, by two sisters, Louise Watts and Verna Adams, by a step-sister, Ruth Highnam,, two brothers, Ray and wife Laura Gatton and Earl and wife Audrey Harris. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2005 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2005 at the funeral home with the Rev. Skip Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery near Sonora Ohio. Laura Chapter # 264 will hold services at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
