Vera I (Harris) Romine

Vera I. Romine, 86, of Newark, formerly of Zanesville, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Newark Health Care Center. She was born August 11, 1923, in Muskingum County, the daughter of the late Burnis and Mary Dunlap Harris. She retired from the packing department for Brockway Glass and was a member of the Coburn United Methodist Church. Surviving are a brother, Donald (Betty) Harris of Rochester, New York; three nieces, Janice Bollinger of Zanesville, Kathy Kerr of New Concord and Sandy Settles of North Carolina; two nephews, Pastor Jack (Susan) Harris of Zanesville and Leo (Karen) Harris of Cumberland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie L. Romine, who died March 1989; and two brothers, Delvin and Leo Harris. No calling hours will be observed. A dignified cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
