Vera Mae Tannehill, 93, of Parma Heights, died at 3:51 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Metro Hospital, Cleveland. She was born on May 4, 1918 in Pomroy, Ohio to the late Clifford and Grace Capehart Williams. Vera was a clerk at Macy's Department Store for 23 years and a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star #485. She loved to sew and keep up on cooking. Surviving are a son, James E. (Sharon) Tannehill of Parma Heights; a daughter- in- law, Lou Tannehill, Lake Angelus, MI; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Eugene Tannehill, who died on November 6, 1963; a son, Jan Edward Tannehill; two sisters, and three brothers. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
