Verlah M. (Reed) Milstead

Verlah M. "Jonny" Milstead, 87, of Zanesville, died at 7:20 P.M. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at her home. She was born July 31, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Willard and Edna L. Davis Reed. She retired from Brockway Glass after 25 years as a Packer, and had previously worked for Essex Wire and Mosaic Tile. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and traveling. Most of all, Jonny loved to spend time with her family. Surviving are her children, Howard (Gina) Milstead of Zanesville, Robin Milstead of Zanesville, Rebecca (Tom) Denton of Zanesville, Carlo (Wysteria) Carlino of Frazeysburg, and Whisper (Liam) Robinson of California; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Milstead who died in 1975; a son Steven Milstead; a daughter Karen Harding; and two sisters, Marjory Lanning and Carol Dutro. The family will hold private services and burial. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
