Vibert Ray Wisecarver

Vibert Ray Wisecarver, 72, of Zanesville, died at 10:16 A.M. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 6, 1951, in Adamsville, a son of the late Ray and Mabel B. (Rowland) Wisecarver. He was a member of the Muskingum Valley Boating Association, was an avid woodworker and worked for the Lear Corporation for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Brenda (Newton) Wisecarver, whom he married on June 1, 2013; two sons, John (Trina) Wisecarver and Vibert Ray (Shannon) Wisecarver Jr.; a stepson, Jacob Wayne; a brother, David Wisecarver; seven grandchildren, Ali Thurman, Dakota Wisecarver, Madison Smeltzer, Beau Wisecarver, Brady Wisecarver, Harper Wisecarver and Erica Wisecarver; and a special friend, Kevin (Jessica Mercer) Earnfield.

In addition to his parents, Vibert was preceded in death by his two brothers, Eddie Wisecarver and Billy Wisecarver; a sister, Janie Hardwick; and a grandson, Austin Wisecarver.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 22, 2024 with Pastor Rick Buck officiating. Vibert will be laid to rest at Adamsville Baptist Cemetery, Adamsville.
