Vicki L. Stottsberry, 70, of South Zanesville, died at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 25, 1939, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Fred and June Markert Vickers. She graduated from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She worked as a registered nurse for Bethesda Hospital, Sunnyview Nursing Home and the Helen Purcell Home, where she retired in 1998. She was a member of the VFW George Selsam Post #1058 Women's Auxiliary, American Legion Post #29 Women's Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge #302 Women's Auxiliary. She was a generous donor to many organizations. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Gary L. Stottsberry, whom she married April 14, 1962, of the home; a daughter, Michele (Randy) Elson of Zanesville; two sons, Kurt (Jackie) Stottsberry of Zanesville and Kevin (Chris) Stottsberry of Philo; five grandchildren, Ashley Elson, Tanner, Katie, Tristan and Quentin Stottsberry; a great grandson, Kaiden Kerby; two aunts; an uncle; several cousins; and special friends, Yvonne Burns, Shirley Bennett and Jeanette Henessy. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Kudart officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
