Vivian Mae Dixon, 85, of Zanesville, died at 4:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born February 26, 1923, in Chandlersville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lena Cockins Mautz. She worked side by side with her husband, Dave Dixon, in their business of Dave Dixon Shoe Repair for over 40 years. Surviving are a step-son, David R. (Judy) Dixon and a sister, Doris Lynn, all of Zanesville; a sister-in-law- Lavonne Mautz of Newark; a special friend, Denver McClurg of Zanesville, her faithful dog, Mimi and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Dixon, who died January 21, 2000; a sister, Violet Zink and a brother, Gene Mautz. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2008 at Rich Hill Cemetery, Chandlersville with her niece, Sister Sherry Swiger officiating.
