Vivian J. Sweeney, 91, of Zanesville, died at 7:16 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room. She was born September 20, 1914, in Crookston, Minnesota, a daughter of the late George P. And Johanna NyQuist Saver. She was a Presbyterian by faith and was a longtime Political Activist. Surviving are a daughter, Shelley ( Samuel) Reynolds of Zanesville, a son, John Robert Sweeney III, of Columbus, four grandchildren, Samantha Mingus, Blake Reynolds, Jordan T. Reynolds and Lauren J. Reynolds, three great grandchildren, Samuel Mingus, Gabriel Mingus and Kyia Reynolds. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Sweeney II and by two sisters, Cora Saver and Bernice Saver and by a brother, Stuart Saver. No calling hours will be observed, a simple and dignified cremation will take place under the direction of the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
