Vonda J. (Milstead) Bowers

Vonda J. Bowers, 88, of Zanesville, died at 11:25 P.M. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born June 18, 1924 in Gilbert, Ohio a daughter of the late Benjamin and Meta King Milstead. She was a homemaker and a 70 year member of Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Paul H. (Jeanie) Bowers of Zanesville; a daughter, Donna J. (John) Myers of Nashport; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Snode of Zanesville, Wesley ( Jean) Bowers of Zanesville, Owen J. (Elizabeth) Myers of Columbus and Bethany (Ryan) Miller of Indiana; seven great grandchildren, Colin and Caitlyn Snode of Zanesville, Keira, Olivia, Mariah and Levi Miller of Indiana and Connor Myers of Columbus and a sister, Ruth Thompson of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Paul H. Bowers Sr., who died March 10, 2009 and a sister, Ila Barclay. Friends and family may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Paul, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
