W. Betty Glaub, 81, of Zanesville, died at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Adams Lane Care Center. She was born January 16, 1928, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Clarence and Fannie Wickham Thomas. Betty retired in packing at Brockway Glass. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and VFW George Selsam Post 1058 Auxiliary. Surviving are two daughters, Connie Glass and Brenda (Carroll) Fink, both of Zanesville; three sons, Russell (Sharon) Glaub Jr., Terry (Margie) Glaub, and Gary (Jennifer) Glaub, all of Zanesville; three sisters, Ruth Scott, Mary Anne Williams Cochran and Joan Weidig, all of Zanesville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Thomas and Martha Thomas, both of Zanesville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and special nieces, Sue Murphy, Becky King, and Sharon Hamler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Glaub Sr.; a son, Ronnie Rogers; two sisters, Frances McCumber and Louise Kneeland; two brothers, Richard (Slim) Thomas and Robert Thomas. Friends may call 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the funeral home with a caring cremation to follow.
