Walter W. Wright

Walter W. Wright, 97, of 1856 Adams Lane, Zanesville, went to be with his Lord & Savior at 8:49 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born March 13, 1909 in Clarksburg W. Va., the son of the late Thomas and Anne Phillips Wright. Walter was a retired foreman in the hot end at the Brockway Glass Co. after 40 years of service, a member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church where he was an Ordained Elder and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Amity # 5 F & AM. He was a graduate of Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg W. Va. and attended Ohio University at Athens Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Jane L. Waybright Wright, three sons, John M. (Ruth) Wright of Greenville, Thomas W. (Jan) Wright of Charlotte N. C., and Lee E. (Judy) Wright of Phoenix AZ, .ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters,Dorothy Wright, Margaret Moorhouse, Louise Smith and Sara Belotte. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with the Rev. Mary Gene Boteler officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 .a.m Wednesday till service time. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be given to the Brighton Presbyterian Church.
