Wanda Elaine Lacey Bennett, 85, of Zanesville, died at 12:40 P.M. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born November 2, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Louis and Betty Rubey Lacey. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, and had worked at the Sweet Station in the Freight Shops downtown. She often volunteered with her long time friends at Eagles Bingo and Mass Bingo, and she enjoyed feeding birds, flowers, and gardening. Surviving are a daughter Cherie (Michael) Antonetz of Zanesville; a granddaughter Brooke (Seth) Grossman of Palatine, IL; two great grandchildren, Julie and Abe Grossman who called her "GG"; two step-grandchildren, Jennifer Cameron of Zanesville, and Larry Nicholson of Lebanon; and a brother Louis W. "Butch" (Sandra) Lacey of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Bennett, who died in 1986. Friends and family may call from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 24, 2014, with Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. A dignified cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Thomas at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
