Warren S. Sharkey

Warren S. Sharkey, 90, of Zanesville, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. He was born September 28, 1917, in Crooksville, Ohio, the son of the late Fred and Valice Elora Rambo Sharkey Sr. Mr. Sharkey was an electrician for the B.E. Mauk Electric Co., retiring in 1979. Warren was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 29. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann (Arlin) Ward of Cape Coral Fl. and Jean Sharkey of New Philadelphia, Ohio; a son, William Lee Sharkey of Zanesville; a sister, Wilma (Charley) Johnson of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Doug Wisecarver, Robert W. Sharkey and Tammy J. Huffman; five great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Williams Sharkey and two brothers, Fred Sharkey and Dale Sharkey. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Dr. Dennis Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
