Weldon G. Bowman, 81, of Zanesville, died at 2:45 A.M. on Monday, October 29, 2012, at Cumberland Pointe Nursing Home in St. Clairsville. He was born December 16, 1930, in Zanesville, a son of the late Weldon R. and Marie E. Hysell Bowman. He retired from the Water Department for the City of Zanesville after thirty years, and was a United States Marine serving in the Korean Conflict. Weldon enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Surviving are a son Dana Bowman of Zanesville; two granddaughters, Lindsey (Jeremy Stackhouse) McClintock of Zanesville and Jamie (David) Hall of Columbus; a step-granddaughter Chawn Crier; and two step-great granddaughters, Keaira and Seaira Crier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kuhn Bowman; a daughter Deborah McClintock; a son Mark Bowman; and three brothers, William, Donald, and Jerry Bowman. No calling hours or services will be observed. A dignified cremation has taken place under the direction of the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. A private burial will take place at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
