Willard Kildow, 78, of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord at 11:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his home after a long hard fought battle with a serious medical condition. Willard always had a smile and showed courage in facing all of life’s challenges. He will be deeply missed. He was born April 5, 1944, in Zanesville, a son of the late James W. and Blanche M. (Angler) Kildow. He retired from Lear Corporation and attended Maranatha Bible Church. Willard loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Brian) Benbow and Caley Kildow, both of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Angel Bailey, Conner Yonley, and Chrysler Dooley; two sisters, Loma Travis and Natalie Lathem; many brother in laws, and sister in laws; hunting buddies, Janice (William) Findlay and Jim (Rose) Harding; a special niece, Carla Casanova; and special friends, Stacy Newman and Kelsey Skaggs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Anne (Harding) Kildow who died December 29, 2011; a daughter, Leanna Henning; three brothers, James Kildow, Larry Kildow, and Karl Kildow; and three sisters, Laura Guadagna, Ruby Evans, and Mary Baker.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2022, with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. He will be laid to rest at Kennonsburg Cemetery, Kennonsburg, Ohio. The family will receive friends at 2:30 P.M. on Friday at Chef Steve’s, 730 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville for a time of food and fellowship.
