William P. Bishop, 71, of Zanesville, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at The Ohio State University Hospital. He was born April 4, 1936, in Nashport, a son of the late Harold W. and Mary Ellen Hunt Bishop. He retired after 40 years as a machinist for Rockwell International and was a US Army Veteran. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Eloise R. Miller Bishop, whom he married October 14, 1961 of the home; two sons, William P. Bishop Jr. and Timothy M. (Kim) Bishop, both of Hopewell and six grandchildren, Zach Bishop, Elizabeth Bishop, Brock Bishop, Grant Bishop, Jay Bishop and Erin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Edmond Bishop and a sister, Barbara Kane. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the grave.
