William P. Brennan

William P. (Bill) Brennan, 78, of Zanesville, died at 7:55 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born January 22, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late William H. and Mildred I. Tacie Brennan. He started working for the Chrysler Corporation in Detroit and then came to Ohio and went to Work for General Electric Company in New Concord , Ohio where he retired after over 25 years of service. William was a U.S. Army Veteran of Korea and was a member of the American Legion Post 29 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 302. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Johnson of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Christopher ( Krista Kelly) Brennan of Dresden, Wendy (Tom) Hicks of Zanesville, Megan Bradley of Zanesville and Michael Bradley of Zanesville; seven great grandchildren, Dominick Brennan, Slade Hicks, Madison Hicks, Carter Hicks, Parker Kelly, Stone Kelly, and Avery Kelly; four sisters, Patricia Paholak of Berkley, Michigan, Kathryn Purslow of Royal Oak, Michigan, Mary Gill of East Tawas, Michigan and Colleen Wise of Berkley, Michigan; two brothers, James (Katherine) Brennan of Loudon, Tenn. and Thomas (Kathleen) Brennan of Vonore, Tenn; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Bradley. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the funeral home with Mr. William Meaige officiating. Bill will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites being conducted by the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
