William E. Brock

WILLIAM E. BROCK, age 81, 0f South Zanesville, died at 8:45 am Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1923 in Mt. Sterling Ohio the son of the late Carl Brock and Elsie Bell Tewskberry. Mr. Brock was employed in maintenance at Brockway Glass and volunteered at the Eaglesticks Golf Course. He was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ where he served on Consistory. He was a veteran of WW2. Surviving are his wife, Laverna M. Sowards Brock, (married May 25, 1985), of the home, two daughters, Billie (Donald) Peters of Orlando FL., and Marilyn (John) Schilling of Chandlersville, two step daughters, Marta Ferguson of So. Zanesville, and Mary (Clement)Hopper of Zanesville, three step sons, Dennis (Linda) Allen of Marion Ohio, Steven (Lisa) Allen of Cambridge, and Gary (Joan) Allen of Zanesville, three grandchildren, Christopher Peters, Karen Bell, and Stephanie Clouse, seventeen step grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Brock. Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, May 14, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 105 S. 7th St. Zanesville with James Ross officiating, Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will conduct military services at the gravesite.
