William Michael "Mike" Grubb, 63, of Zanesville, died at 9:50 A.M. on Monday, March 28, 2016, at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born June 21, 1952, in Zanesville, a son of Frances Ruth Johnson Grubb of Zanesville and the late Bryson Adair Grubb. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and had worked as an RN for Good Samaritan Hospital, as a Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Mumma, and at the Adams Lane Care Center. He was a member of the Zanesville Lions Club, American Legion Post #29, and the Zanesville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Mike cherished his children and grandchildren, as they were the most important part of his life. He also enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Alison Jill Lighthizer Grubb, whom he married November 4, 1978; three sons, David Kyle (Emmy) Grubb of Zanesville, Zachary Ryan (Stephanie Flood) Grubb of Grandview Heights, and Sean Michael (Taylor) Grubb of Zanesville; a daughter Andrea Rene (Jeff) Patridge of Pickerington; four grandchildren, Peyton and Wyatt Patridge, Jameson Grubb, and Beckett Grubb; and a sister Darla (Ken) Mason of Zanesville. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Zanesville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 545 Richey Road, Zanesville, with Pastor Andy Winters officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors presented by the United States Navy in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058 and American Legion Post #29. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zanesville Lions Club: C/O Chris DeLancey Treasurer, 2437 Dresden Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; or to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House: 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Mike lived his life for the Lord and for his family and friends. Now, he is celebrating in the presence of the Lord!
