William Russell Kelso

William Russell Kelso, 72, of Zanesville, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2006 at Willow Haven Care Center. He was born May 28, 1933 in Muskingum Co., a son of the late William V. and Pearl Huntsman Kelso. He was a truck driver for Shelly & Sands, was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, a member of VFW George Selsam Post 1058, American Legion Post 29, DAV, Eagles Lodge # 302, Moose Lodge # 867, High Hill Grange, the Beagle Club and the Gage & Gavel Masonic Lodge # 448. Surviving are five daughters, Tamera ( Kevin Dickerson) Moore of Zanesville, Linda ( Rick) Maxwell of Maryland, , Brenda (Jerry ) Sode and Phyllis (Danny) Bohn all of Zanesville and Deborah (Darrell) Martin of Nashport, three sons, Randy Kelso, Kenny (Linda ) Kelso of Zanesville and Eric Sites of Phoenix, AZ., fourteen grandchildren, Torri, Dhalton, Kenny, Heather, Cameron, Danielle, Derek, Justin, Chris (Trisha), Brady David, Ronna (Tom), Beth (Chris) and Brandon , several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, , three sisters, Bonnie (Tom) Jenkins, Patricia (Harold) Snack, Barbara (Mike) Thompson all of Zanesville, six brothers, Roger Kelso of Florida, Steve (Kathy) Kelso of Zanesville and Ron (Sam) Kelso,of Blue Rock Archie (Cindy ) Kelso of Florida,, Roy (Becky) Kelso of Chandlersville and Stanley (Michelle) Kelso of Philo. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret M. Kelso , who died November 20, 2004, four children, Nancy Kelso,William Kelso Jr., Daryl Kelso and Gary Sites, a brother, Robert Kelso and a son-in-law, Jim Moore. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006 with Rev. Officiating. Burial will follow at Chandlersville Cemetery, Chandlersville. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the grave. Gage & Gavel Masonic Lodge 448 will hold masonic services at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
